Senior Software Engineer (Consumer Lending Team) (Copy)

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico; currently fully remote with a planned transition to a hybrid setup. Candidates are asked whether they are based in Guadalajara or nearby and whether a hybrid work model is suitable.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and scale backend microservices for the Consumer Lending team.
• Design infrastructure for millions of daily requests while maintaining security, reliability, and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and build distributed financial systems.
• Develop solutions for payment, compliance, financial disbursement, and lending workflows.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units.
• Mentor junior developers and improve engineering practices through system analytics and user feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Fluent or advanced English required.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Experience designing web services and REST APIs, with a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursement, compliance-driven platforms, security protocols, KYC/AML, and collaborative engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with credit, lending, or loan-related products and services.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and familiarity with the listed technology stack.
