Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Architect and build stable, fast, and scalable core services for customers and internal teams.
• Develop sustainable, testable, maintainable, and high-performance backend code.
• Solve platform and core architecture problems and take ownership of delivery objectives.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on testing, code quality, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Improve DevOps processes, workflows, feedback systems, and team practices.
• Promote observability and monitoring by using operational data to improve system stability and performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing integration software systems.
• Experience with e-commerce APIs, distributed systems, and backend/API teams in fintech.
• Backend experience with Java; familiarity with Python and Go.
• Experience with AWS tools such as ECS and Lambda, CI/CD tools such as Pulumi and Jenkins, and observability with Datadog.
• Ability to write readable, testable, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish; ability to communicate with vendors or teammates in English as necessary.
