Director, Finance Systems Strategy & Optimization (Workday Financials)

Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, approximately 2–3 times per year.

Salary: $88,000–$160,000 per year, adjusted by location.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation and prioritization of technical solutions in Workday Financials.
• Manage configuration, testing, deployment, change management, and external consultants for system enhancements.
• Optimize Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning processes, releases, documentation, and user resources.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data solutions across Workday Financials, Adaptive, Strategic Sourcing, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Own finance product roadmaps and coordinate execution with Accounting, Procurement, Strategic Finance, Investments, Technology, and Talent.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in finance operations, including at least 3 years with Workday Financials.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in Workday Financials Financial Accounting, Procurement, and Expense modules, plus Adaptive Financial Planning and Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience with Workday Worksheets and Discovery Boards; knowledge of Workday Prism and Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
• Strong project management, analytical, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Workday Financials or Adaptive Planning certification.
• Experience with Workday Prism, Tableau, Power BI, Jira, or Confluence.
