Senior DevOps Engineering Manager

Location: Remote work from the United States; work-from-home arrangement available subject to company policy. Less than 5% domestic travel is expected. Offices are available in Denver, Colorado; New York, New York; Dallas, Texas; and Lisbon, Portugal.

Base salary: $179,000–$219,000 annually. The role also includes a 15% target annual bonus, with total target compensation of $205,000–$251,000.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and operation of scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform or comparable technologies.
• Improve platform reliability, availability, scalability, observability, performance, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Integrate security, infrastructure, and deployment practices into application development workflows for regulated healthcare software.
• Manage, mentor, hire, and develop DevOps, platform, and software engineering contributors.
• Set technical direction, support architecture reviews, plan engineering capacity, and represent platform engineering to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related area.
• 5+ years designing, building, or operating cloud infrastructure and automated software-delivery systems, including strong hands-on AWS experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership and CI/CD or deployment automation experience, plus 3+ years with infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
• 2+ years of direct people management, including performance management, coaching, hiring, and professional development.
• Experience with at least two programming or scripting languages, containerized or distributed applications, APIs, databases, cloud security, monitoring, observability, incident response, and high-availability architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience leading DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE teams.
• Healthcare, medical device, fintech, or other compliance-sensitive industry experience.
• Production experience with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, SRE practices, service-level objectives, and incident-management processes.
• Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable observability platforms.
