Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Peoria, Illinois, USA 61639 — onsite position

Salary: $67,600–$84,500 per year

What you will do

• Complete manufacturing engineering projects covering production, fabrication, warehouse, packaging, shipping, and material flow.
• Program CNC equipment and develop routings, procedures, tool specifications, and automated equipment programs.
• Recommend tooling, equipment, systems, and process improvements for current, revised, and new models.
• Update production routings, manage warehouse inventory operations in the MRP system, and coordinate engineering change notices.
• Develop manpower requirements, packaging standards, layouts, standard times, and balanced operations across assembly and warehouse processes.
• Perform time studies, root-cause analysis, make-versus-buy analysis, and continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Experience with methods improvement, layout design, assembly tooling and fixtures, line balancing, equipment justification, and assembly worksheets.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, production processes, and warehouse operations.
• Must work onsite in Peoria, Illinois, USA, and comply with environmental and safety requirements.
