Co-op Instrumentation and Controls

Location: On-site in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Travel may be required for customer site visits.

What you will do

• Develop instrumentation and controls schematics, interconnection and I/O diagrams, conduit and cable documentation, instrument cutsheets, panel layouts, power distributions, and installation details.
• Review and comment on P&IDs and A&IDs and maintain instrument and I/O lists.
• Perform cable, conduit, cable tray, panel heat-load, and wireway sizing calculations.
• Conduct site assessments and audits, prepare field sketches, and convert design sketches and markups into AutoCAD and Revit documentation.
• Maintain project specifications and drawings while supporting accurate, compliant technical documentation.
• Collaborate with lead engineers, designers, clients, contractors, suppliers, and project management teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in EMET, EET, or a related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Raster, and Microsoft Office.
• Technical proficiency in electrical design and engineering calculations.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Cincinnati, work at a computer for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform field investigations.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Navisworks.
