Mortgage Loan Officer- Delaware

Location: Dover, Delaware, United States; travel to assigned branches, customers' homes and businesses is required

Salary: $35,563 base salary per year, plus commission opportunities based on individual production

What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans for purchases and refinances, including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, and first-time homebuyer programs.
• Build business through an existing referral network and present mortgage programs to individuals and professional organizations.
• Serve customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
• Interview applicants, collect financial and property information, and analyze relevant data.
• Explain the mortgage process from application through closing.
• Monitor local real estate market trends and changes to private and government-insured mortgage regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience marketing and originating residential mortgage loans and loan products.
• Proven sales skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Willingness and ability to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and presentations when requested.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency with industry-standard mortgage origination software.
