Mortgage Loan Officer (Retail Mortgage)

Location: Forest Lake, MN; office workplace with a hybrid work arrangement indicated.

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 hourly non-recoverable draw, reconciled against earned incentive compensation, plus eligibility for an applicable incentive compensation plan.

What you will do

• Develop new and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Use consultative selling techniques to advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products.
• Provide customer service from approval through closing and work with loan origination sources to secure and verify information required for underwriting.
• Maintain client relationships and advise customers on completing loan applications.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• PC and internet skills.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
