Embedded Software Development Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end embedded software development for aerospace and defense systems from concept through integration.
• Capture and refine high-level and low-level software requirements and implement them in designs and code.
• Guide development activities toward DO-178 objectives and support certification audits, reviews, and data-package preparation.
• Define, explain, and defend technical decisions, guide implementation, and conduct formal design reviews.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams while communicating technical status.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems and strong embedded software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of real-time embedded systems, RTOS, safety-critical software development, and C/C++ or similar embedded languages.
• Experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages, plus strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizenship must be disclosed. Ability to travel for up to approximately four weeks per year is also required.
