Embedded Systems Expert (DO-178C)

Location: Onsite in Connecticut, hybrid, or fully remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship is required. Travel of approximately two to six weeks per year is expected.

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end avionics software systems from concept through certification.
• Lead the development of safety-critical embedded software in compliance with DO-178C.
• Design and implement solutions for real-time embedded systems and RTOS-based platforms.
• Coordinate with systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
• Drive requirements traceability, verification planning, validation, architecture reviews, and technical assessments.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in embedded software development and safety-critical software processes.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience with DO-178C certification programs.
• Deep understanding of Real-Time Embedded Systems, Real-Time Operating Systems, and systems engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizenship must be disclosed.
