Building Engineer

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid position

What you will do

• Perform assigned maintenance, repair, and installation work for building machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Operate and maintain heating, air conditioning, and other utility systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs, work-order processing, reporting, inventory, and departmental budgeting.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and recommend equipment and operational improvements.
• Complete engineering training covering emergency panels, generators, chiller logs, and work-order systems.
• Support team onboarding and maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and safety standards.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, engineering support, or related technical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of computers, office software, and energy management systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to read technical procedures, manuals, and regulations and work independently after training.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills required; ability to obtain Refrigerant Handling Certification required.
