Senior Manager, Technical Consulting, Strategic (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA; relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF may be available.

Compensation: $261,000–$358,000 OTE in San Francisco/New York or $235,000–$322,000 OTE nationwide, with equity and a 75/25 split. Final compensation depends on location and hiring level.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Strategic Technical Consulting team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and career architecture.
• Own post-sales technical implementation for Ramp's largest and most complex accounts from solution design through go-live, adoption, and expansion.
• Co-own activation milestones and time-to-value with the Customer Activation team.
• Serve as the terminal escalation point for ERP integration failures, custom API work, at-risk go-lives, and pre-sales commitments requiring re-scoping.
• Define the Strategic delivery model, including scoping standards, solution reviews, staffing, capacity planning, quality standards, and cross-functional engagement rules.
• Use operational KPIs to manage delivery performance and turn customer insights into product and engineering improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years in technical consulting, solutions architecture, implementation, or professional services, including substantial enterprise or strategic-account experience.
• 3+ years managing individual contributors and owning team-level outcomes; experience managing senior or principal-level consultants is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ownership of post-sales implementation for large, complex, multi-entity, multi-system, executive-sponsored customers.
• Deep fluency in ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Workday Financials, or Microsoft Dynamics, plus APIs, SSO/HRIS integrations, and accounting workflows.
• Ability to guide enterprise solution design, distinguish configuration issues from product gaps and customer process problems, and communicate technical trade-offs to CFOs and Controllers.
• Experience building shared operating models between delivery and customer-facing functions, with strong judgment and ownership in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience at an ERP or financial systems vendor, or in a Big 4 or systems integrator implementation practice.
• Background in fintech, spend management, or accounts-payable automation.
• Experience scaling a technical consulting or professional services function from an early stage.
• Experience managing managers or team leads, or building a technical individual-contributor career ladder.
