Manager, Public Policy and US State Strategy (Gaming)

Location: Based at the San Mateo, California headquarters or Washington, DC office; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday. Frequent domestic travel is required.

What you will do

• Develop relationships with U.S. state policymakers and political figures.
• Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues affecting Roblox across U.S. states.
• Develop engagement strategies for state policymakers on issues important to Roblox.
• Advise product, engineering, business operations, and other internal teams on public policy matters.
• Prepare briefing papers and consultation responses that articulate Roblox's policy positions.
• Represent Roblox in communications with external stakeholders and support wider public policy projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in policy, law, media, science, engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience at an internet, e-commerce, social, or gaming company.
• At least 5 years of experience working with policymakers across the political spectrum.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the state legislative process and experience working with state policymakers and child safety groups.
• Experience collaborating with business operations, finance, and legal teams.
• Experience with program management and keeping multiple concurrent deliverables moving forward.

• Fluency in Spanish.
