Municipal Bond Credit Analyst/Portfolio Manager

Location: Berwyn, Pennsylvania, United States. Candidates must already be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require current or future work visa sponsorship.

Salary: $111,440.00–$183,082.25 per year, plus potential incentive and retention awards.

What you will do

• Analyze municipal bond issuers, sectors, credit quality, valuations, and market developments.
• Construct and manage municipal bond portfolios for clients, including SMA accounts aligned with risk and return objectives.
• Develop and maintain municipal bond strategies and the approved issuer buy list.
• Manage daily municipal bond trading and monitor order screens for timely execution.
• Execute fixed income trades across Fidelity, Altruist, Schwab, BondNav, iCAP, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, and other platforms.
• Provide fixed income expertise and strategy support to investment advisors while contributing to market and economic commentary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience as a municipal bond credit analyst and/or portfolio manager.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel data analysis and formulas, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Strong municipal bond credit analysis, valuation, trading, and best-price execution skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, process excellence, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with senior leadership, advisors, and external partners.

Nice to have

• Proven experience managing municipal bond SMA strategies.
• CFA designation or an advanced degree.
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Tradeweb, and custodian fixed income trading platforms.
