Portfolio Analyst/Associate - SMA/Municipals (Fixed Income)

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Monitor portfolio positions, products, risk exposures, and compliance with client guidelines.
• Coordinate portfolio rebalancing with Portfolio Managers.
• Use proprietary risk systems to monitor exposures and support portfolio decisions.
• Assist with account transitions and cash-flow management.
• Conduct performance and attribution analyses.
• Respond to ad-hoc Portfolio Management requests and develop reporting tools and methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from a leading, accredited college or university, with a strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial services or asset management.
• Strong understanding of fixed income, especially tax-exempt municipal and government bonds.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong portfolio risk and operational awareness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, time-critical environment.

Nice to have

• Python programming skills.
• Understanding of the municipal bond market and retail ladder strategies.
