SVP, Head of Business Banking

Location: Wilmington, Delaware; candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $160,476.00–$263,637.75 per year, plus potential incentive and retention awards.

What you will do

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for Small Business, SBA, and Business Banking functions.
• Develop and execute strategies for loan growth, deposit growth, customer acquisition, profitability, and market share expansion.
• Build a relationship-driven sales culture focused on customer retention, cross-selling, and trusted-advisor relationships.
• Lead managers and associates, establish performance expectations, and oversee succession planning, workforce management, and talent development.
• Partner with Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Marketing, Product, Technology, Credit, and Risk Management teams to improve products, delivery channels, and customer relationships.
• Monitor portfolio performance, maintain credit quality and regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive banking experience in Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Small Business Lending, Consumer Lending, or related areas.
• At least 10 years of senior leadership experience managing large teams, multiple business units, and significant P&L responsibility.
• Extensive expertise in commercial lending, small business banking, SBA lending, credit administration, portfolio management, and deposit and lending products.
• Demonstrated success delivering growth and profitability while maintaining strong credit quality, risk controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Current authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
