Engineering Technician II (T2) - Weekend Shift (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite weekend shift

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, tools, and test fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at both component and system levels.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, mechanical and electrical testing, and pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal technical descriptions.
• Maintain logbooks and test procedure documentation, perform rework, and generate Quality Notifications.
• Follow safety, security, cleanroom, and equipment operating procedures.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb, work in tight spaces, and lift as required.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and face shields.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially difficult noise levels.
