Staff Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $117,000–$145,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Design electronics for advanced robotic actuators and end-effectors.
• Develop circuit designs for motor drives, power supplies, analog sensing, microcontrollers, and high-speed communications.
• Analyze and optimize circuits using SPICE and simulation tools.
• Design highly integrated PCB layouts using Flex/Rigid-Flex, HDI, and heavy-copper techniques.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to miniaturize PCBs and improve reliability in complex electromechanical systems.
• Perform failure analysis, laboratory debugging, design documentation, and Electrical Validation Testing.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing electronics.
• Experience with power electronics, motors, and motor drives.
• Experience with Ethernet, PCIe, or other high-speed data technologies.
• Knowledge of HDI and heavy-copper PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience with Python, C/C++, or MATLAB; strong Linux command-line knowledge; and familiarity with SolidWorks or similar mechanical CAD tools.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
