What you will do
- Lead the development and scale-up of laboratory chemical processes to pilot and production scale, improving metal recovery while reducing cost and environmental impact.
- Evaluate process capability, improve process control, and conduct detailed process simulations and modeling.
- Identify process risks and develop, evaluate, and implement mitigation solutions.
- Create production and process guidelines, including SOPs, process-flow details, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot products, equipment, and process issues during production and support customer sample delivery.
- Guide R&D teams and external partners in experiments, while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior technical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in chemical process engineering and/or development engineering.
- Hands-on experience scaling processes from R&D to an operating environment.
- Expertise in chemical process modeling, development, control, and scale-up, including bench-top, pilot, manufacturing scale-up, and verification batches.
- Proficiency with software for process analysis and modeling, plus a strong understanding of chemical process scale-up.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills for complex cross-functional improvements.
