What you will do

• Own the end-to-end performance of CNC deterministic polishing processes, including parameter optimization and tooling selection.
• Establish robust process control systems using statistical methods to identify variation and drift.
• Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve production issues and prevent rework.
• Manage the qualification of new fixtures, software, and machine upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and equipment engineering to ensure process stability.
• Maintain process specifications and standard work documentation to drive alignment across shifts.

Requirements

• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Must be able to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in optical fabrication and CNC deterministic polishing.
• Proficiency with statistical software such as JMP or Minitab.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 pounds.
