Mobile Operating Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, USA; mobile support for properties across Dallas/Fort Worth

Salary: $29.75–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned commercial properties.
• Service DX units, pumps, fan coil units, VAVs, air distribution systems, package units, split systems, heaters, compressors, refrigerant systems, and water systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as filter changes, coil cleaning, condenser flushing, lubrication, belt adjustment, motor replacement, and equipment alignment.
• Monitor energy management systems and adjust controls, valves, thermostats, diffusers, and related equipment.
• Inspect electrical rooms, IT rooms, generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, emergency exits, lighting, and life-safety systems.
• Respond to equipment failures, fires, evacuations, customer concerns, and other emergencies; document work and report activities to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• At least 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building operations, energy management, and applicable safety codes.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, stoop, work outdoors between properties, and respond to emergency or on-call situations.

Nice to have

• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school program.
• Trade licenses or permits such as Journeyman or Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, High Pressure Boiler License, or High Pressure Steam Operator certification.
• Basic proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
