Systems Administrator

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; daily on-site support required

What you will do

• Provide daily on-site operations and maintenance support across multiple classification-level environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and enhance Linux and Windows servers, desktops, and network devices.
• Design and integrate hardware, software, commercial tools, government-off-the-shelf tools, and custom infrastructure in a software development environment.
• Deploy and sustain information systems in air-gapped environments while maintaining 24/7 continuity of operations.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, backups, file systems, disk space, virtualization, and log aggregation.
• Perform Nessus, SCAP, and STIG scans, remediate findings, maintain compliance documentation, and support information assurance requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
• At least one year of experience patching and configuring systems to comply with STIGs on a classified network.
• Minimum Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• DoD Directive 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
• Experience managing Linux and Windows systems, Active Directory or LDAP, vulnerability scanning, backup and recovery, virtualization, and multiple networks.
• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework requirements, information assurance controls, and system compliance documentation.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related subject.
• Experience in classified collateral, SAP, or SCI environments.
• Knowledge of Type 1 encryption devices such as TACLANE, network equipment, SIEM, endpoint security, VMware, and NetApp.
• Experience with Wireshark, Nessus, Snort, Netcat, PRTG, NISPOM, RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NIST, or DFARS controls.
