Systems Administrator

Location: Hybrid in Lexington, Massachusetts, United States; candidates must live within 100 miles of the Lexington facility and should expect to work onsite four days per week with one remote day. Candidates must be flexible to come onsite as needed. Travel is estimated at 5% domestically.

What you will do

• Administer GNU/Linux environments, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and CentOS, alongside Windows Server, Windows desktop, and Apple Macintosh systems.
• Deploy and manage VMware virtualized networks, clustered ESXi environments, virtual machines, vCenter Server, SANs, and iSCSI storage.
• Install, maintain, repair, upgrade, and evaluate computer, network, hardware, and software systems.
• Design shell scripts and administration tools to automate processes and provide capabilities for technical staff.
• Improve infrastructure covering storage, backups and recovery, network performance, application deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
• Work with IT and security personnel to rapidly reconfigure systems and remediate performance and security issues.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of systems administration experience.
• Five years of experience with VMware, including ESXi, vCenter, clustered deployments, virtual machine management, snapshots, SANs, and iSCSI.
• Strong administration experience with Red Hat, Ubuntu, UNIX/Linux, Windows Server, macOS, Active Directory, LDAP, SCCM, DNS, DHCP, networking, and enterprise backup solutions.
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, system auditing, hardening, configuration management, monitoring, databases, and mission-critical data protection.
• Ability to modify moderately complex shell scripts and work effectively with systems administrators in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with a Risk Management Framework (RMF).
