System Administrator (Classified Systems) – Active Secret Clearance Required

Location: Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $121,000–$191,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $150,000–$225,000 annually.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain SIPRNET and other classified standalone, LAN, and WAN systems.
• Support the ISSM with ATO and ATC activities in accordance with DoD regulations and DISN guidance.
• Perform configuration management, system maintenance, account administration, and hardware/software recordkeeping.
• Conduct continuous monitoring, incident response, security audits, and CCRI/CORA self-assessments.
• Coordinate with Systems Administrators, Information Assurance Analysts, Facility Security Officers, internal customers, DISA, and other government entities.
• Provide operational input to DevOps and mentor team members on areas of expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience administering and securing Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, logging and monitoring, file systems, Group Policy, backups, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP in a classified environment.
• 4+ years of experience in a DoD or industrial security program, including solid knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework.
• Experience with routers and switches, virtualization platforms, and at least 2 years maintaining a SIPRNET-connected environment.
• Experience with ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, certificate management, RADIUS, 802.1X, and troubleshooting with DISA or other government entities.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and US citizenship required. DoD 8140.01 certification, such as CISSP or Security+, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, NetApp, Veeam, classified cloud environments, and automation or orchestration tools.
• Experience with Splunk and vulnerability or compliance scanning tools such as Nessus, SCAP, and ACAS.
