Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments, including directory, networking, certificate, and policy services.
• Manage virtualization, hybrid cloud, enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery platforms.
• Drive patching, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, audit support, and compliance across mixed operating-system environments.
• Automate infrastructure operations with PowerShell, Python, Bash, infrastructure as code, and configuration-management tools.
• Lead infrastructure projects, architecture reviews, documentation, Tier 3 incident response, on-call support, and root-cause analysis.
• Support Mission Control Center and Axiom Station integration activities, including testing, procedures, ground control, training, and real-time mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive systems administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Linux and Windows Server administration, networking, storage, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, major cloud platforms, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience leading incident response, postmortems, infrastructure projects, security hardening, and compliance activities.
• Must satisfy U.S. export-control screening requirements for access to ITAR, EAR, or NASA-regulated technical data. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required is also necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of NIST, CMMC, CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Experience with IAM, Azure/Entra ID, monitoring and logging platforms, ITSM/ITIL, and DevOps practices.
• Relevant security, Linux, or Microsoft certifications.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for scripting, automation, or troubleshooting.
