Director, Construction Management (Data Centers)

Location: Remote - Oklahoma, United States; travel may be required up to 25%.

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead regional construction management operations and manage 2–8 direct reports.
• Oversee major data center programs from inception through preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and customer or business turnover.
• Develop construction management policies, procedures, tools, training, accountability programs, and best practices across regions.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, commercial, operations, IT, sales, legal, finance, and accounting teams.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, schedules, quality, and internal controls.
• Build relationships with general contractors, MEP and CSA trade partners, design firms, commissioning agents, suppliers, customers, and local authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 12+ years of progressive commercial construction project or program management experience, including required data center experience.
• At least 5 years of direct construction management team oversight and a record of mentoring and developing teams.
• Experience with data center design and construction, especially MEP systems, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimating, and project scopes.
• Knowledge of lean construction, IPD, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, lump sum, CM at risk, and open-book GMP contract methods.
• Advanced experience with Excel, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, or project management tools such as MS Project, Prolog, Procore, or BIM 360.
