Gas Turbine Installation Engineer (Steam Turbines)

Location: Remote only; the role may be based in various locations across the United States. The position supports on-site turbine installation activities and requires legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Salary: $76,800–$162,200 annually, depending on location, experience, skills, certifications, and business needs.

What you will do

• Lead the mechanical erection and centerline alignment of large-scale steam turbines.
• Act as the primary technical authority during installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Install and integrate lubrication, hydraulic, and control auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate project managers, customers, contractors, site logistics, resources, and tooling.
• Enforce safety and quality standards, conduct inspections, and resolve non-conformances.
• Document installation progress and technical issues while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 5–8 years of field service experience installing, erecting, or commissioning large rotating equipment such as steam or gas turbines.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, including commissioning processes, test equipment, and engineering design.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently in demanding field environments.
• Experience with quality assurance, quality control, analytical problem solving, workflow management, and project execution.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization is required.
