Technician 3 (Solar)

Location: Phoenix, AZ; field work at residential rooftops and customer sites in the assigned service area

What you will do

• Evaluate, diagnose, maintain, and repair solar and storage systems, electrical components, and warranty-related issues.
• Support Operations and Maintenance activities by responding to system performance and service issues.
• Complete quality assurance inspections, document corrective actions, and submit service reports after work orders.
• Identify solutions for technical design problems and collaborate with manufacturers and the engineering team.
• Train service staff and customers on system operation, service processes, maintenance, and performance.
• Manage vehicle materials and equipment inventory while maintaining professional relationships with dealers and service partners.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of electrical experience.
• Current valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report; driving is required.
• Proficient spoken, written, and reading English.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to work outdoors and on rooftops, respond to emergencies, work variable schedules, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Formal apprenticeship or vocational training experience.
• Three or more years of experience in the solar electric industry.
• Four or more years of electrical experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
