HR Project Manager (Workday)

Location: Primarily performed in an office environment.

Estimated pay range: $77,000–$100,000 annually, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.

What you will do

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of concurrent HR projects across technology, compliance, Total Rewards, talent, employee experience, culture, and HR operations.
• Develop project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resources, dependencies, and responsibilities.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Operations, Communications, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage HR workstreams involving Workday and other enterprise technologies, including requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance testing, communications, training readiness, implementation, and post-launch activities.
• Track project health, risks, issues, changes, resources, dependencies, and decisions through dashboards, status reports, and portfolio summaries.
• Facilitate governance meetings, drive accountability, escalate resource constraints, and conduct project closeouts and lessons-learned reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of progressive project management experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities, resources, and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of formal project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
• Experience developing project plans, managing risks and dependencies, coordinating resources, and providing leadership-level reporting.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Human Resources project management experience.
• Experience with Workday or other enterprise HR technologies.
• Experience in government contracting, highly regulated, or complex matrixed environments.
• Experience coordinating external consultants, technology partners, vendors, enterprise implementations, and organizational change initiatives.
