Mortgage Loan Officer (New Jersey)

Location: Burlington, New Jersey, United States; travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and presentations is required when requested.

Salary: $35,563–$35,563 per year, plus commissions based on individual production.

What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans for purchases and refinances, including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, and first-time homebuyer programs.
• Solicit mortgage business through an existing referral network and present mortgage programs to individuals and professional organizations.
• Serve customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
• Interview applicants, collect financial and property information, and analyze relevant data.
• Explain the mortgage process from application through closing.
• Monitor local real estate market trends and changes to private and government-insured mortgage regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience marketing and originating residential mortgage loans and loan products.
• Proven sales, customer service, written and oral communication, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel to assigned branches, customers' homes and businesses, and requested presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with industry-standard mortgage origination software.
