What you will do

• Lead hardware architecture and design for coherent pluggable transceivers and optical transport subsystems.
• Develop system architectures, schematics, specifications, and high-speed circuit boards.
• Drive signal integrity, power integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, RF, and mixed-signal analyses.
• Define and evaluate DWDM systems, optical amplifiers, ROADMs, wavelength-selective switches, lasers, and photodetector subsystems.
• Develop test strategies, qualification plans, and validation methods using electronic and optical laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate with optical, electrical, firmware, FPGA, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, systems, supplier, and product management teams through production release.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience in telecommunications, networking, or optical communications.
• Experience designing high-speed electronic hardware and optical networking systems.
• Experience developing coherent optical transceivers, optical transport platforms, or DWDM networking products.
• Knowledge of high-speed board design, signal integrity, RF design, S-parameters, impedance matching, serial interfaces, optical link budgets, and mixed-signal design.
• Experience with schematic capture, simulation tools, laboratory characterization, manufacturing processes, DFM, DFT, and product qualification.

Nice to have

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Physics.
• Experience with hyperscale, carrier, or service provider optical networks.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and data analysis tools.
• Experience collaborating with global engineering and manufacturing teams.
