Senior Product Marketing Manager (Embedded Software)

Location: Austin, United States; onsite role

Annual base pay: $124,600–$231,400 USD, with potential annual cash bonus and equity package.

What you will do

• Set the broad-market software strategy across the wireless IoT portfolio to improve developer experience, reduce friction, and accelerate adoption.
• Own the developer experience across SDKs, packaging, tools, development kits, reference applications, documentation, training, and community enablement.
• Define software launch readiness and ensure internal and external enablement assets are complete, consistent, and measurable.
• Lead business-unit-wide software prioritization and release planning across Commercial, Home, Industrial, and Life segments.
• Translate customer and market needs into detailed, engineering-ready requirements and communicate business and technical trade-offs.
• Align Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering/R&D, Sales, Support, Applications, Program Management, and Community stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of industry experience in IoT, wireless, embedded systems, or semiconductors, including 5+ years in software product marketing or software product management.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes, release management, software prioritization, and roadmap trade-offs.
• Knowledge of wireless IoT markets, ecosystems, and technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 802.15.4, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, sub-GHz, and edge computing.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into decision-ready narratives and enablement content.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, United States.

Nice to have

• Hands-on embedded software development experience with connectivity stacks, SDK components, device drivers, tools, or reference applications.
• Experience improving adoption of embedded and IoT SDKs, IDEs, documentation, examples, development kits, and onboarding flows.
• Experience creating scalable customer enablement programs and ecosystem partnerships with cloud, middleware, or toolchain providers.
• Experience building data-driven business cases using adoption funnel and customer success metrics.
• Familiarity with edge computing and AI/ML technologies.
