Senior Product Manager, AirLink Software & Services (Embedded Software)

Location: Hybrid role based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada or San Diego, California, USA; travel required up to 25%.

Salary: CAD $140,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the strategy and roadmap for AirLink OS edge software, including firmware features, SDKs, APIs, container runtime, and security frameworks.
• Drive the transition from monolithic firmware to a modular, container-based edge software architecture.
• Manage value-added services and technology partnerships from technical evaluation and proof of concept through negotiation and go-to-market execution.
• Define requirements, acceptance criteria, beta programs, release documentation, and developer-facing content in partnership with embedded software engineering.
• Develop pricing, packaging, positioning, sales enablement, and launch strategies for software features and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and customers to validate priorities and deliver the AirLink software strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience in embedded software, IoT platforms, or networking products.
• Strong technical fluency in embedded Linux, firmware development processes, and edge computing architectures.
• Experience defining requirements for embedded systems, APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms.
• Demonstrated success managing technology partnerships and commercializing value-added services in B2B or enterprise environments.
• Ability to drive cross-functional execution across engineering, sales, and marketing without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized edge computing, OpenWRT, Yocto, or secure open-source frameworks.
• Background in networking, IoT, or industrial technology companies with channel-based go-to-market models.
• Knowledge of cellular carrier certification, regulatory compliance, public safety, or utility technology environments.
• Experience with OEM licensing, channel partnerships, WAN bonding, VPN/ZTNA, eSIM, or edge AI/ML applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
