Purchasing Agent (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid in Mindelo, Porto, Portugal

What you will do

• Procure raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods based on production plans and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory and safety stock levels to ensure continuous material availability for production.
• Maintain accurate material, supplier, and pricing data in SAP.
• Analyze demand, inventory, procurement performance, forecasts, and supplier performance.
• Support supplier negotiations and manage claims, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with sourcing, planning, warehouse, and supply chain teams on process improvements.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English is required.
• Experience using SAP in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Experience with inventory management and demand planning.
• Ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and work with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• French or German language skills.
