Group Design Manager (AI Acceleration)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay range: $226,000–$305,500 per year, with potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead designers and design technologists delivering internal and customer-facing experiences for AI acceleration initiatives.
• Shape AI acceleration strategy through design thinking, customer experimentation, and data gathering.
• Design hirify.globalive, transparent, and trustworthy AI-powered experiences for diverse users.
• Identify customer problems, define requirements, track progress, and deliver solutions to customers.
• Evaluate third-party vendors and make build, buy, or partner recommendations.
• Advocate for adoption of AI-accelerated tools and evolve the design platform through continuous iteration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in internal tooling, internal transformation, design technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing designers and/or developers.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into the design workflow and a clear perspective on AI’s impact on product development.
• Significant experience contributing to enterprise-grade design systems or design tools, including accessibility requirements in design and code.
• Mastery of design tools, agile development methodologies, stakeholder communication, creative problem solving, and working through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Considerable experience at a design tool vendor.
• Examples of advocacy that drove breakthrough adoption of design system tools, processes, or artifacts.
