Principal Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote, USA. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship and transfer of employment visa sponsorship are not available.

Salary: $220,000–$240,000 annually

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end experience strategy for the mobile app, the primary daily touchpoint for members.
• Pioneer agentic AI UX from 0 to 1 by creating interaction patterns for proactive recommendations and autonomous actions.
• Lead design strategy across member journeys from onboarding through long-term behavior change.
• Conceptualize, prototype, validate, and ship experiences that balance AI agency with trust, transparency, and user control.
• Own information architecture, interaction design, visual design, copy direction, and user validation.
• Build and evolve Twin’s design system, mentor designers, and influence product roadmaps and design quality across the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product or UX design experience with a portfolio demonstrating advanced interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated experience designing agentic AI experiences where AI takes action, provides proactive interventions, or operates with agency.
• Proven 0-to-1 product design experience in areas with no established patterns or prior art.
• Recognized design thought leadership, strong communication and storytelling skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience using LLM prompting in design or prototyping workflows.
• Experience creating patterns for AI transparency, explainability, or human-in-the-loop interactions.
