Manual Press Operator

What you will do

• Operate manual, arbor, and bench presses to install threaded inserts into carbon fiber plates and manufactured components.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Verify alignment and placement, inspect finished components, and perform measurements with calipers, gauges, and related tools.
• Maintain production records, report completed work, and identify defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
• Clean and perform preventive maintenance on press equipment while maintaining an organized work area through 5S or similar practices.
• Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, prepare materials and hardware, and assist with other manufacturing and assembly operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to safely operate manual press equipment and use calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Basic mathematics and measurement skills, manual dexterity, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or manual press operation experience.
• Experience installing threaded inserts or similar hardware.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk, Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, or JAMA.
