Managing Director, New Ventures (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles, California, with 3–4 days per week onsite at the Cedars-Sinai office

Base salary: $240,000 per year, plus carry and benefits

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day partnership between hirify.global and Cedars-Sinai, including delivery against commitments and preparation for operating, steering, and investment committee meetings.
• Work with clinicians, researchers, and operational leaders to identify high-value healthcare problems and develop investment theses grounded in clinical workflows, willingness to pay, and market structure.
• Source, attract, and evaluate exceptional founders for new healthcare companies and assess founder-market fit.
• Build the Los Angeles healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem through relationships with universities and technical and clinical talent.
• Stress-test concepts through primary conversations with clinicians, payers, and potential customers, then guide validated opportunities to the Investment Committee.
• Support funded companies with clinical pilots, research validation, go-to-market strategy, fundraising positioning, governance, and access to Redesign and Cedars-Sinai resources.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of healthcare experience with meaningful exposure to company creation, investing, strategic innovation, consulting, or operations.
• Experience working with or inside large healthcare organizations, such as academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, payers, or health technology companies.
• Healthcare expertise across care delivery, health technology, or digital health, with the ability to develop original investment theses.
• Fluency in business model analysis, primary and secondary research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles 3–4 days per week is required.
