Vice President, Alternative Funds Finance Manager

Salary: $175,000–$240,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Own financial control and oversight for a portfolio of alternative funds, including monthly NAV close, valuation, fees, expenses, and performance reporting.
• Lead finance activities across the investment lifecycle for illiquid assets, ensuring transactions are structured, executed, booked, and reported accurately.
• Manage fund treasury and liquidity activities, including cash-flow forecasting, capital calls, distributions, and investment pipeline analysis.
• Partner with Portfolio Management, Tax, Legal, Operations, and service providers on closed-ended, hybrid, and blocker fund structures.
• Oversee vendors, audits, regulatory filings, debt covenant compliance, investor reporting, and client deliverables.
• Lead process improvements and use emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, across the finance function.

Requirements

• 8–14 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or finance within alternative investments, public accounting, or a similar environment.
• Experience with credit, residential and commercial real estate, private equity, hedge funds, and complex blocker structures.
• Hands-on experience with closed-ended private equity and hedge fund structures and outsourced service-provider models.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Investment Company Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; active CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
