Associate Manager, Private Equity Accounting (Private Equity)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $70,000–$130,000 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards

What you will do

• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for assigned funds.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, investor reports, and ad-hoc client reporting.
• Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries and maintain client relationships.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, and compliance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support onboarding of new clients and funds, internal controls, best practices, and process improvements.
• Respond to audit requests and provide documentation to external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of fund accounting experience, including knowledge of private equity or other investment vehicles.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with fund accounting software such as Advent Geneva, Sungard Investran, or SS&C HiPortfolio, plus Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• CPA or CFA designation.
• At least one year of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
