Assistant Seafood Manager

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite in a retail store

Salary: USD $19.50 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee Partners and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Seafood Department.
• Coach, train, evaluate, and hold Partners accountable for following standard operating procedures.
• Prepare schedules, order products, control inventory, and monitor the department budget and payroll.
• Execute merchandising programs, drive sales, and monitor financial performance and department metrics.
• Research process breakdowns and work with Partners to identify and resolve root causes.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, company, federal, and state requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18.
• At least one year of experience in the department or comparable experience.
• Completion of required store or department training, such as forklift or power jack training.
• Food Safety certification.
• Leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organization, delegation, and planning skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and rotating schedules, including nights and weekends, manage multiple priorities, and perform physical work including occasional lifting of 50 pounds and working in very cold environments.
