Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

Location: On-site in New York City or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $160,000–$300,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the AWS footprint, including multi-account architecture, networking, IAM, and container orchestration.
• Define and maintain infrastructure as code with application-level review, testing, and versioning standards.
• Build the developer platform, including build pipelines, ephemeral and preview environments, and development tooling.
• Improve CI/CD speed, safety, pipeline throughput, and developer velocity.
• Manage cloud cost and capacity through growth modeling, right-sizing, and spend-control automation.
• Harden infrastructure for enterprise and financial-services requirements while designing for multi-region scale and account isolation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure at a venture-backed startup or leading technology company.
• Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code and production environments managed entirely in code.
• Production expertise with AWS networking, IAM, and account architecture.
• Strong command of containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD technologies.
• Production-grade proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar scripting or backend language.
• Experience with operating systems, networking, monitoring, observability, cloud security, secrets management, hardening, and audit readiness.

Nice to have

• Experience managing cloud cost at scale or building tooling and guardrails that keep spend predictable.
