Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, with 3+ days per week in-office from Tuesday through Thursday

Base salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and level, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Set technical direction for build, test, release, and coding-agent infrastructure across engineering teams.
• Standardize repository conventions and create reusable, reproducible build and test workflows with effective dependency management and caching.
• Build release systems that promote immutable, versioned artifacts through test, security, compatibility, and recovery stages.
• Develop coding-agent tools with scoped permissions, failure handling, testing, and independent output validation.
• Implement software supply-chain security controls, including artifact signing, provenance, SBOMs, isolated build runners, scoped CI credentials, and vulnerability gates.
• Improve developer experience and engineering productivity through self-service tooling, diagnostics, metrics, service-level objectives, and actionable alerting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, developer productivity, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience owning production build, test, and release infrastructure across multiple services and teams, including versioned release bundles and compatibility testing.
• Strong Python skills, strong Linux fundamentals, and experience building secure container images.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and cloud deployment across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with software supply-chain security, permissions, credentials, dependencies, artifacts, and remediation.
• Experience leading complex projects and migrations, setting technical direction, and driving adoption across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating testing infrastructure in a microservices environment.
• Experience distributing release artifacts to customer registries or restricted environments, including offline packaging.
