Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, San Francisco, or remote. The role primarily operates during daytime hours in the US and includes some synchronous weekly meetings. In-person onboarding with the manager and company on-sites are expected.

Salary: USD $165,000–$200,000 base annually.

What you will do

• Secure, scale, and maintain cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search clusters, microservices, and machine learning pipelines.
• Run and optimize high-availability machine learning inference services.
• Build infrastructure-as-code solutions and improve platform cost efficiency.
• Define SLOs and SLAs, participate in incident response and on-call rotations, and improve observability and alerting.
• Collaborate with product, operations, engineering, and customer security teams on integrations, onboarding, and product delivery.
• Fix vulnerabilities and bugs and harden systems for SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR readiness.

Requirements

• Production experience building and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm charts, Bash scripting, and Python for infrastructure automation.
• Experience operating and scaling large-scale applications, particularly ML or AI systems, in AWS and/or GCP.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Python and the ability to collaborate with full-stack developers on SaaS applications.
• Hands-on experience with ML infrastructure, including GPUs, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and awareness of cloud security practices in startup environments.

Nice to have

• Experience using GitHub Actions or Spacelift.
• Experience building with hirify.global or contributing to open-source development, infrastructure, or security projects.
