Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure

Location: Remote-first in the United States

Salary: $186,500–$255,000 USD annually, depending on geographic pay zone, experience, qualifications, and skills. The role is also eligible for a company-wide bonus.

What you will do

• Design and maintain foundational shared services, including VPCs, DNS, PKI, and secrets management.
• Own the cloud landing zone, including multi-account architecture, connectivity, resource structures, tagging, and cost-efficient scaling.
• Build automated, tested, and repeatable Infrastructure as Code pipelines using Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
• Create self-service code-hosting and deployment pathways with repository standards, protected branches, CI hooks, and governed hosting patterns.
• Implement policy-as-code, tagging enforcement, cost controls, security baselines, and observability infrastructure for logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Partner with SRE, security, developer productivity, and cloud vendors to improve reliability, resilience, performance, and cost management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering with ownership of production cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including multi-account architecture.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
• Experience with GitOps-style delivery pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including VPC design, DNS, PKI, and secrets management.
• Experience with observability tooling and cloud cost management practices, plus strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting non-engineering builders, citizen developers, or AI-assisted tooling users with self-service infrastructure.
• Proactive adoption of AI and fluency in emerging technologies.
