Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Hybrid role requiring 4 days in the office at 1 Ingram Blvd, La Vergne, Tennessee, USA; candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN region.

Salary: $110,981–$141,123 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, operating systems, platforms, and system-management tools.
• Provision infrastructure with Terraform, Bicep, Azure Resource Manager, and configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Operate and upgrade managed Kubernetes platforms, including cluster lifecycle management, autoscaling, ingress, and workload onboarding.
• Deploy observability tooling with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, including dashboards and SLO-based alerting.
• Design and maintain HAProxy load-balancing services, TLS certificate lifecycle processes, high-availability configurations, and traffic-management patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent directly related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering, including at least 2 years with public cloud and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, including compute, networking, identity, storage, and cost management.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, managed Kubernetes services, containerization, CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Production experience with HAProxy Enterprise or an equivalent software load balancer, including ACLs, health checks, HTTP routing, and TLS termination.
• Knowledge of cloud security, Linux and Windows Server administration, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, and Bash for automation and tooling.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with Traefik ingress, OpenTelemetry instrumentation, weighted routing, blue/green deployments, canary releases, and rate limiting.
