What you will do
- Own complex, high-impact mechanical systems and architectures from concept through mass production.
- Develop technical solutions and strategies for mechanical systems, prototypes, validation, and manufacturing.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship while identifying and solving complex engineering problems.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners across multiple functions and project dependencies.
- Contribute to product and technology roadmaps, program strategy, design analysis, validation, and engineering best practices.
- Advance mechanical technologies for consumer electronics, robotics, infrastructure, and research applications.
Requirements
- Onsite work in Sunnyvale, California is required.
- Six or more years of industry experience in mechanical design, including shipped high-volume commercial products or complex electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience leading complex assemblies and systems from concept to production.
- Expertise in 3D/2D CAD, DFM/DFA, GD&T, material properties, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with NX; Teamcenter experience is beneficial.
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; detailed hands-on 3D and 2D design experience is required.
Nice to have
- Mechanical architecture experience during early design phases.
