Senior Software Engineer

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid

What you will do

• Own the hardest technical work in a cell of three to five engineers and contribute to its North Star business metric.
• Design, build, deploy, monitor, and support features in production, including on-call ownership.
• Lead technical initiatives across Technical Guilds and drive adoption beyond the immediate cell.
• Shape system design and participate in architectural reviews and cross-cell technical discussions.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, constructive code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and reduce technical debt before it affects scalability and delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience and a proven record of delivering complex projects.
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading technical work from concept through launch and production operation.
• Deep expertise in system design, data modeling, and application architecture.
• Comfort directing AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Devin while maintaining a high quality standard.
• Strong mentoring, communication, and technical presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Active participation in technical communities or open source.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
