Sr Industrial Engineer, Design & MHE

Location: Headquarters - Katy, Texas, United States; regular in-office attendance is required

What you will do

• Analyze distribution operations, material-handling processes, MHE utilization, preventive maintenance, and automation opportunities.
• Develop business cases, ROI analyses, capital investment justifications, and recommendations for operational improvements.
• Support material-handling and automation projects through system design reviews, design validation, vendor evaluations, and execution.
• Create sketches, samples, technical documentation, user manuals, cost estimates, material requirements, and project timelines.
• Facilitate installation, testing, debugging, commissioning, startup, and operational ramp-up while validating project results.
• Collaborate with vendors, engineers, distribution-center leadership, maintenance teams, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners; mentor entry-level engineers and distribution-center managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 7+ years of related distribution operations and mechanical or industrial engineering experience.
• Ability to proficiently use AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving, analytics, technical reporting, presentation, communication, and change-management skills.
• Ability to influence senior managers, distribution-center directors, and business leaders and drive insights into action.
• Regular in-office attendance in Katy, Texas is required.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of retail industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience with MOST Robotics Warehousing Systems or distribution-center automation.
• Six Sigma Green Belt.
