Sr Engineer Industrial Engineering (Biotech Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Improve drug substance manufacturing performance, throughput, labor productivity, and operational effectiveness.
• Conduct capacity assessments, equipment and labor modeling, staffing analyses, and operational readiness evaluations.
• Optimize equipment utilization, process-area capacity, facility space, workflows, and manufacturing resources.
• Support strategic planning, new product introductions, and technology implementations through quantitative analysis and scenario modeling.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Visual Management, 5S, Standard Work, and Mistake Proofing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Development teams, and communicate recommendations and performance metrics to leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering or manufacturing experience; associate degree with 8 years; bachelor’s degree with 4 years; master’s degree with 2 years; or a doctorate.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing, capacity planning, labor modeling, and operational analysis.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong facilitation, project management, communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analytics, visualization, and statistical analysis tools.
• Knowledge of AI and digital solutions for improving operational performance.
• Experience with simulation and planning tools such as Virtecs, SAP, or similar platforms.
